About

The Potomac Falls Mama lives in LoCo, aka Loudoun County Virginia.  Its a FABULOUS place to be a mom and raise a family... amazing schools, close to DC, and 15 minutes gets you to the countryside, with beautiful farms, vineyards, hiking, and outdoor activities.

Me and my beloved kiddo
I am in my 30's, and have been living with chronic pain in the form of several Autoimmune diseases and Fibromyalgia, since I was about 25.  Raising children under these circumstances is... mind-blowingly hard.  To say the least!  BUT, my son is also my savior- his smiles light my life, his hugs heal my pain, and caring for him gives me pure joy and hope.  Read more about how having a son has changed my life here.

I am a woman full of information; I'm one of those people who (really) can't stop giving advice, trying to help others, and I get a little too excited about cool new products and new adventures.  Thus, I became a blogger.  Blogging is my therapy, my hobby, my joy, and my new life.  I have always had a better chance at truly expressing myself through writing; I have "brain-fog" due to my FM and autoimmune conditions, thus speaking is actually quite a challenge for me!

I am hoping to grow my family, and would especially enjoy a little girl, to share my love for life, pretty things, empathy, and of course, girl-talk.

When I'm not glued to my keyboard at 2am, I periodically remember that I have a job, I'm an IT instructor.  The perfect job for a self-diagnosed attention-wh*re ; ).  I love to teach and share information, which is also why I love blogging!  I also enjoy sewing, crafting, having crazy adventures with my son, and playing the piano.

  1. Just came across your blog.I am a stay at home mommy to a 20 month old daughter. My Family and I are moving to Ashburn in a week and I've been searching for things to do with my daughter as well as moms clubs or play groups that we can join. Any information you could share would be very helpful. Thanks!
